First I simply want to acknowledge how awesome the charity bundle is doing. From starting with a humble goal of $5,000 to fast approaching $420k, it’s been incredible to watch. Secondly I’d like to thank everyone who has downloaded THE CRYPT HAS OPENED. This project has been such a wonderful game to see develop. It started with a simple goal and blossomed so fast into a fully fledged idea. It’s one of those rare moments in a creative’s life, where everything seems to pour out nearly fully formed. I wish that would happen more often!

Even so, there’s lots of tweaking and adjusting and clarification that needs doing. I’ve been running playtests and gathering notes. So far everyone’s reactions have been overwhelmingly positive and their critiques valid and insightful. Taking all that in I’ve now set out on another round of edits. 

This next edition will see a major restructuring of how I’m presenting the mechanics behind the Imposition Dice System. With this new layout the information will flow a little better and make more sense as you read through the book. I’ve also added a section on quick builds for players to easily build a character and get right to playing.

I also want to make it clear that nothing that has been in previous releases will be removed from the next edition. If it’s in 2.0 it will remain in all future releases, for FREE. Only layout, formatting, or rules clarifications will be added to the book. As development continues it is my aim to keep that edition up-to-date with any rules changes that may occur.
