Hello Cryptids!

I'm super excited to finally announce that we've received the developmental edits back from the editor, Jacky Leung, who has worked with other amazing indie devs in the TTRPG space of all sizes. Their notes are fantastic and are going to lead to a much stronger handbook.

So what's next? 

Well first I'll be going through the dev notes and making necessary changes and ironing out the formatting to clear up rules confusions. This includes shifting entire chapters around and excising old language from the first draft that I'd missed. This should take about a week or so. After that I'll hand the document off for a line edit. While my grammar isn't terrible, it can definitely use a second pair of eyes to make sure everything is crystal clear. 

After that I'll take the document and give it a final pass then it's off for final formatting in InDesign. 

Final note, this will be the last free edition of the game. Like previous versions nothing will be removed from this final free document. If anything there's more information! What we'll end on is a document that has a solid ruleset for you to start playing your own games of The Crypt Has Opened.

So what will be in the paid version? A Bestiary, organizations, artwork, and more information on the world and advice on being the Crypt Keeper.  Essentially all of the juicy creative stuff to help flesh out the setting. The goal is to make this edition the most like a modern day PHB.
